"I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" shown above is the Largo Cracker Quilter's 2011 Opportunity quilt. It will raise much needed money to support Religious Community Services food bank in Pinellas County Florida. The Queen sized (84" x 105") quilt is an original design by June Sanchez and Barbara Herbranson.

Blocks were made by: Karen Barrie, Jane Clark, Susan Cobb, Sharon Danielson, Dee Engelken, Bea Englert, Hilda Karl, Nancy Nelson, LaVonne Newcomer, Sherry Ortega, Betty Sarine, Joan Scaffidi and JoEllen Smith.

Completed blocks were than sewn onto the background using needle-turn applique. The decorative vines and leaves were appliqued to the background last. Professional quilting by Lucky Sew and Sew, Inc. done by Marlene Hooten. It took one year and one month to complete this quilt.
