Alice Means is our featured speaker on Saturday, January 29th at 12:30PM.  A snowbird who spends six months in CT and the winter months in Haines City, FL.  Alice has been quilting since 1994 and has made over 200 quilts.  She will be presenting a lecture/trunk show entitled "My Quilting Journey."  Alice will describe various techniques that she used in the making of each quilt, including tips and shortcuts for quilters. 

Alice has won numerous awards at quilt shows throughout New England and Florida and has been juried into the prestigious AQS shows where she has won twice.  Her quilts have been shown in Quiltmaker magazine, American Quilter magazine and the AQS Quilt Art Engagement Calendar 2008 through 2011.  She has exhibited at museums in Paducah, KY, Duxbury, MA, Framingham, MA, Willimantic, CT, and in Owensboro, KY.  Alice teaches workshops and is a member of professional quilt organizations and guilds in Florida and Connecticut.  All that and she golfs, too.
